Madina Lake have confirmed that they’re breaking up and will be releasing one last EP.
Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone is in the hospital after intervening in a domestic dispute, according to the band. Nathan Leone, the band’s singer and Matthew’s brother, said that the bassist was left unconscious after trying to stop a man beating his wife in the street.

Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone has been released from a Chicago, Illinois hospital so he can recover from brain surgery in the comfort of his own home.
Originally appearing on their 2005 album Never Take Friendship Personal, Anberlin has reimagined their track “A Day Late” with frontman Matty Mullins at the mic. Marking the band’s forward movement with Mullins stepping in for vocalist Stephen Christian, who made a surprise appearance at When We Were Young Fest in 2024, as the re-release celebrates their legacy as well as their resilience to reach larger audiences. After their incredible performance at When We Were Young last month, Anberlin has announced a headlining tour next winter, celebrating the 20 year anniversary of their album Never Take Friendship Personal. Joining them will be Copeland performing their album In Motion in its entirety, along with The Dangerous Summer, Spitalfield, and Madina Lake on select dates.
