After years of being besties on the road and in the scene, ska kings Less Than Jake and Goldfinger have finally released their first official collab. The two acts put their horns together to add a new spin on Post Malone and Morgan Wallen‘s chart-topping, country-tinged 2024 hit, “I Had Some Help.” Less Than Jake frontman Chris DeMakes says, “It’s no secret that Less Than Jake and Goldfinger have known each other and been friends forever. It’s also no secret that [Goldfinger vocalist] John Feldmann is a world-renowned record producer. So, when your friend hits you up and asks if… Read more »

Pop-punkers Gold Bloom have dropped their new single, “Clarity,” featuring As December Falls. They released a music video to accompany the track, and it’s in the place where most of us have a brain-blast moment: in the shower. This marks the Liverpool band’s first release of 2024. The video features vocalist Benji Yapp signing in the shower. Not a primary focus of their sophomore album, READY TO EAT, but perhaps the last piece of the puzzle that when you step back, makes the effort complete. Arguably a song with one of the strongest melodies on the album, the band takes a staccato approach to the verses with lead singer, Colie Hutzler singing: “Trouble when… Read more »

Jo Koy hosted the Golden Globes and his presence was, without a doubt, memorable. And, our very own Tommy Wooldridge worked on the short filmed version of ‘Night Swim’ back in 2014. The feature film is in theaters now so he reflects back on helping with the short a decade ago, which was filmed in Michelle Branch’s pool.
Goldfinger took to the When We Were Young Fest Stripe stage to play all the hits, including their beloved ska hit “Superman,” but this time, with a special guest. Retired professional skateboarder Tony Hawk came onstage to help John Feldmann with some vocals for the song. This only makes sense as “Superman” is iconic on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater video game soundtrack. Check out the track below. This isn’t the first time Hawk has appeared onstage with Goldfinger. He also joined forces with the band in January 2023 in Anaheim to perform the hit. Earlier in the day, Hawk actually… Read more »
