System Of A Down‘s Serj Tankian may have just performed a stellar 27-song-long set at Sick New World, but he’s not slowing down anytime soon. Today, the artist released a thrilling new solo track, “A.F. Day,” via Gibson Records. “This is a song I wrote in the early days of System Of A Down that I never released,” Tankian says. “The majority of the instrumentation and vocals are recordings from that time. Dystopian in mood, the song is a reflection of the angst and anti-authoritarian attitude I had to conformity.” The new brutally honest track is just a taste of… Read more »

But near the end of the song, Malakian screamed “F– yeah!” and the profanity made it by the censor. At least one fan rejoiced in the slip,… Read more »

Struggling U.S. auto manufacturers are hoping music will do for them what it did for Apple after the introduction of the iPod — make them cool. And in so doing, they aim to attract a new generation of car buyers who expect digital entertainment at all times. Two-thirds of 2007-model cars will enable users to connect MP3 players to factory-installed stereos. Leading the charge is Ford Motor, which at the Detroit Auto Show January 9 introduced a new factory-installed, in-car communications and entertainment system called Sync, developed in partnership with Microsoft. While auto manufacturers have offered iPod-integration kits as a… Read more »
