The Vantage

The Vantage

Overview

Before you can push play on our newest Uprising artist The Vantage, you better put your hands in the air. Everything about the Austin, Texas duo’s electric vibe inspires movement, and if you’re not dancing around the room by the end of almost any given song, then you might want to click repeat.

The band slips into the same vein as Young The Giant and American Authors, which means they’re the perfect up-and-comer to grace your favorite indie and pop-rock playlists. They’ve shared the stage with both acts, plus idobi favorites The Mowgli’s and Smallpools and more. Considering the band made their live debut at SXSW just two years ago, it’s pleasantly surprising how quickly they’ve managed to garner attention, and only attests to their talent and ridiculously catchy songs.

Pick any song, push play, and prepare to dance because The Vantage are gonna make you move.

Take the newest single “Place In The Water.” With an upbeat and sunny flavor, it’s vibrant in every sense of the word. The song pulses with energy from the tangy sharp guitar, flashy indie-pop keys, and rich but vigorous vocals, all dripping with hooks. From the band’s EP Color Blind, released last summer, listen to the snazzy but soulful “Glow” and easy, poetic style of “Faith”, which capture the effortless breeze and balm of summertime. Pick any song, push play, and prepare to dance because The Vantage are gonna make you move.

“With songs like “Place In The Water”, The Vantage is poised to put themselves on the map in a major way. The future is bright for James Mason and Jackson Wise, and they’ve proven they can write catchy indie-pop songs that undoubtedly make a splash.”
 – Matt Vogel, Music Director

“They’re ridiculously catchy and a full package that’s poised to do some amazing things in mainstream alternative. It won’t be long before everyone in America is singing along.”
