Canadian DJ and record producer, Caroline Cecil, known professionally as Whipped Cream, left a lifelong pursuit of Olympic-level figure skating to pursue a career in music after a life-changing experience at a music festival. Caroline produces and sings on her records, many released with major labels, and is fearlessly carving out a space for herself in a male-dominated industry. Her ability to dream massively and pursue the highest of heights in the music industry is what inspired me the most during our conversation. | Brought to you by the remixer-hiring platform Mixilary.com.

“One Night Stand You” is a damn good example of all the things Beauty School Dropout does best in their musicality. Clever lyricism, charismatic vocal delivery, verses that swell with anticipation before bursting into an explosive chorus—there’s a reason this track was a hit from their sophomore album, READY TO EAT. They gave the song proper love and attention with a beautifully cinematic black-and-white music video. Beauty School Dropout also released a recent acoustic reimagining. “Much like drugs I believe love (or lust) is a substance. It can just as easily be turned into a crutch to alleviate the pains… Read more »

Matt Cutshall is the mastermind behind Emo’s Not Dead and more viral emo videos. However, between planning events for elder emos, including the recent Emo’s Not Dead Cruise, and crafting content, Cutshall is also making new-age pop-punk under the moniker Your Broken Hero. In fact, he had the chance to perform on the cruise, as well. Today, Your Broken Hero dropped a new music video for the track “Don’t Listen To My Voicemail” featuring Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan. With hilariously self-deprecating visuals, the “Don’t Listen To My Voicemail” includes packs of Pabst Blue Ribbon (the No. 1 choice of… Read more »

A music video features both songs and ushers in a vintage cabaret setting. It’s elegant, filled with glitz and sultry vocals from iRis.EXE, that grazes suddenly into a fuzzy guitar slide of dreadful events. With melodic singing fused with the intensity… Read more »

Alt-pop artist Knox is staying busy this year with another new single, “Me, Myself, & Your Eyes.” The track includes a sultry music video set-up that’ll leave anyone weak in the knees with its intoxicating and addictive sound. “We don’t want anybody else here, but us/I don’t need too much tonight/Just, me, myself and your eyes,” reverberates in the chorus. The backdrop of the music video showcases the Nashville artist ready to indulge in a romantic dinner, with the camera set up as a first-person point-of-view with the watcher being in the hot seat. Throughout the evening sequence, he showcases… Read more »
Ashnikko is genre-bending royalty, supercharging their debut album Weedkiller with punchy singles such as “Cheerleader” and the sunny groove “Worms.” Standout single “You Make Me Sick!” kicked off the entire Weedkiller era, and it was unforgettable. Raw, aggressive screams narrate pure unadulterated rage, and help listeners who relate channel their own anger. With her signature indie pop glow, Dora Jar teamed up with Ashnikko to add a new layer to this blistering track with the “You Make Me Sick! (Dora Jar Remix).” Dora Jar “peeled back the thorny parts of it to show the sad guy behind the screaming and… Read more »
