At this year’s Riot Fest, a manifold of performers showed up and showed out at the Chicago-based punk festival. From Taylor Acorn and Death Cab For Cutie to Sleep Token and Death Grips, there was a fabulous set for every kind of alternative fan. It appears that The 1975 are Still…at their very best. The British rockstars are taking their tour back home across the pond next year to fans in the UK and Europe. Kicking things off in Glasgow on February 8, 2024, and concluding on March 22 in Cologne, Germany, the 26-date run follows their 2023 North American leg of shows. In Utero was one of the most popular records of 1993. Arizona’s premier emo band The Maine are back with a brand-new music video for their track “thoughts i have while lying in bed.” The song comes from their 8123-released LP and self-titled ninth full album. The music video, directed by Nick Stafford, is simple, but positively stunning. The video featuring lead vocalist John O’Callaghan is shot in black and white on a bridge with a cityscape in the background. Today, the quintet released their new single, “Old Wounds.” With haunting stillness, the band departs from the intensity of their 2022 LP Past Lives, taking a slower approach to the release without sacrificing any raw instrumentals.
