No Doubt To Mix It Up On 'Malice'


No Doubt will collaborate Vivendi Universal Games (a division of Vivendi Universal Publishing) and Interscope Records for a character-based, three-dimensional action-adventure videogame titled Malice, which will feature characters voiced by bandmembers as well as songs from their Rock Steady album. The partnership will also introduce No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani as the voice of unexpected hammer-wielding heroine Malice, and bassist Tony Kanal, guitarist Tom Dumont, and drummer Adrian Young as the voices of her counterparts within the game. Video Game Stars No Doubt Plot Revenge Against Laser Pointers


Move over, Lara Croft, there’s a new digitally rendered heroine in town who’s sure to keep gamers up way past their bedtimes. No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani lends her voice to the title character in “Malice,” an action-adventure game due this fall for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, according to a spokesperson for game developer Sierra Entertainment Inc. Blink-182, Tony Hawk To Appear On 'The Simpsons'


Anyone even remotely familiar with Blink-182 knows they’re one of the most animated bands in rock, and soon their funny fodder will be drawn from a place where groups such as Aerosmith, the Who, Spinal Tap and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have once touched down: Springfield. Blink-182 recorded their voice parts for the 300th episode of the animated Fox series on Wednesday, according to a network spokesperson. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inducts 'Class of 2002'


The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame welcomed its first members from the new wave and punk eras on Monday night, inducting The Ramones and Talking Heads along with classic rockers Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, soul and R&B icon Isaac Hayes, versatile vocalist Brenda Lee and singer/songwriter Gene Pitney. Popular music has a history of influencing fashion, and ‘N Sync’s Chris Kirkpatrick is keeping that synergy alive. Kirkpatrick’s clothing line, FuMan Skeeto, had its runway debut Monday night at Girls Rule, one of the shows of New York Fashion Week, which ends Friday. Nelly Gets Praise From Missouri


While Gov. Bob Holden and members of the Missouri House honored St. Louis rapper Nelly, some questioned whether the state should praise a group that sings about illegal drug use and sexual promiscuity. Nelly and his group, the St. Lunatics, were honored Tuesday for their promise to play basketball with high schools that showed increased participation in standardized state tests.
