Sparks The Rescue will join The Dangerous Summer as direct support on the “2011 American Tour,” heading out across the U.S. this spring. This nationwide run will kick off in New York, NY on March 15 and run through the end of April.
Sharks will be heading out with Social Distortion and Chuck Ragan this spring in support of their debut US release The Joys of Living 2008 – 2010 which hits stores April 5th 2011. They will be following up this tour with a spot on the entire Vans Warped Tour.
PING and its parent company, Karsten Manufacturing Corporation, announced today that they have entered into an agreement with Apple under which Apple will use the PING trademark in connection with Apple’s innovative new social music discovery feature in iTunes. Apple introduced the iTunes PING feature today.
‘We wanted a track that represented where the album was going to be and how it was going to work,’ says bassist Phoenix Farrell.
The band’s long-in-the-works new album now has a title and a release date. Their follow-up to 2007’s Minutes to Midnight will be called A Thousand Suns and it’s scheduled to hit stores September 14. The album even has a first single, “The Catalyst,” which heads to radio August 2.
On June 21st Blink-182 made an announcement that the group will headline KROQ’s Epicenter festival in September, so on Tuesday the 22nd, Mark Hoppus decided to up the ante, taking to his blog to break a genuinely exciting bit of news.
