The nerds are back with an encouraging start to the show, Sasha has the munchies and we snack on some farmer’s market food and puff on some really good Bubblegum Haupia (exotic!). BRIDEAR has kept its pop sensibility and power-metal roots but, from the get-go, this record has a more epic, cinematic feel.
Belarusian post-punks Molchat Doma (translated ‘Silent Houses’) made their way to Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg this week for two sold out shows on their New Wave Sadness tour. The band features a classic 1980’s new wave sound filled in with elements of post-punk, psychedelic rock, and dark wave. Egor Shkutko’s deep and meditative vocal style rumbles over hard-hitting electronic drums and groovy guitar passages.
