Stand Atlantic is prepared for battle with their new single, “WARZ0NE.” The track marks their first release of the year, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. “WARZ0NE” aims at people who hide behind their screens while attempting to target and hit those in the spotlight with hatred. “I have been advised many times I shouldn’t respond to hate comments online,” says frontwoman Bonnie Fraser. “So, I just wrote a song about it instead.” Aggressive vocals from Fraser call out negative comments but finally said aloud versus typing words out on a keyboard. The ending chorus drips in anger… Read more »
Dayseeker is stripping down their sound on their upcoming acoustic album, Replica. With the album announcement, they also dropped a reimagined version of“Burial Plot” featuring Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo. The track, which initially appeared on the group’s 2019 full-length Sleeptalk, incorporates a handy-dandy guitar and elevates itself through other vocal additions. Partnering with two powerhouse vocalists like Shomo and Dayseeker’s Rory Rodriguez, generates an evocative sound that makes this reimagined rendition stand out above the group’s original version of the track. The reverberation in play with the vocals creates an atmosphere for the listener that assists with impacting the message… Read more »
Does the new Royal & The Serpent song bang? Well, it “kinda smacks” at the very least. The alt-indie artist teamed up with pop sensation GAYLE on this recent release out via Atlantic Records. It’s a blend of both their musical styles, adding a unique sign-off on this new era for both acts. “Your ex-boyfriend’s music kinda smacks/And it makes me kinda sad/’Cause I can’t stop listening,” opens the chorus in a whisper-equivalent tone that mimics telling a friend this potentially traitorous secret. At the same time, listeners subscribe to Royal’s energy to coincide with their “villain era,” while this… Read more »

Marking their first new music of 2024 and perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day, Loveless has unleashed their infectious new single, “Addicted.” And yes, yes we are. While the track explores emotional dependency culminating in addiction (“I lie to you again/She said is it gonna be alright?”), the accompanying music video depicts a life of lush luxury reined in by the group’s success. The portrayal sees vocalist/frontman Julian Comeau and multi-instrumentalist Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail indulge in a life of excess after signing away their artistry to a room of execs. Of course, the standout moment of the track is a seemingly subtle… Read more »
