Softcult return on this beautiful December morning to gift fans with a brand new song, “Heaven.” A classically shoegaze-drenched tune, the duo comprised of twins Mercedes and Phoenix Arn-Horn add exciting elements of grunge rock and alternative indie into parts of the effort. Carried by gloomy verses and restrained vocals, the instrumentation explodes into something more cacophonous in the chorus. A song exploring the narrative of overcoming dysmorphia, it paints the picture of the idealistic utopian future that the two wish to soon be a reality. Canadian twin sibling duo Softcult is bringing their mall goth sonics to the States in early 2024 with support from Superbloom and Glixen. Kicking off on February 8 in Boston at Rockwood Music Hall and concluding in Buffalo at Mohawk Place on February 23, this will be an expansive tour throughout much of the East Coast. Spotify Wrapped Day has officially arrived, and for voyeuristic music lovers, it’s the best day of the year. Not only do you get to realize that your music taste has basically remained the same since 2008, but you also get to see your most hardcore metal head friends admit that––yes––they did help boost Taylor Swift to the No. 1 streamed Spotify artist for the year globally. MisterWives returned to New York City on September 15th for an incredible sold-out show at Pier 17, bringing along co-headliner Bishop Briggs and opener Raffaella. Formed in New York City, alt-pop band MisterWives have had a nearly decade-long career spanning different musical eras. The band recently released their fourth studio-album Nosebleeds, taking fans into their new era of punk.
