Mellencamp, Fogerty Partner for Summer Tour


Nashville – Billboard reports that John Mellencamp will follow up a successful spring run in primarily secondary markets with a summer amphitheater tour with John Fogerty. The two rock artists’ approximately 40-date trek begins June 14 in West Palm Beach, Fla., and runs through Sept. 3 in Charlotte, N.C. Tickets for the summer tour go on sale April 23. New York – Singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne will spend most of the summer on the road in North America, beginning July 13 in London, Ontario, and wrapping Sept. 3 in Montreal. Canadian punk/pop phenom Avril Lavigne will be hitting 15 different cities across Canada when her cross-nation tour kicks off in July. The first date is July 13 in London. When it comes to concert tours, the good times are not rolling this summer. Major acts like Britney Spears, Marc Anthony and Christina Aguilera, as well as large-scale festivals like Lollapalooza, all pulled the plug on their tours before they even started.
