Thursday is hitting the road this September for a 12-date North American tour. The post-hardcore outfit is bringing GEL and Vinnie Caruana out with them as opening acts and emerging artists Pinkshift and koyo on select dates. The tour will begin on September 7 in Syracuse, NY, and run through September 23 in Birmingham, AL. The annual Boston Calling festival will return for its ninth year at Harvard Athletic Complex this May. Spanning across three days, Boston Calling will be held Memorial Day weekend from May 26-28, and today, they have announced the set times for the upcoming three-day event. With anticipated headline performances from Foo Fighters (Friday, May 26), The Lumineers (Saturday, May 27), and Paramore (Sunday, May 28), there will be several major overlapping sets. Paramore‘s performance, which is scheduled to close out the festival on Sunday evening, will substantially overlap with Aussie rockers, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Tragedy shook the metal community this past Friday evening when the roof of the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere, IL collapsed during a show. At the time, the venue was hosting Morbid Angel, Revocation, Crypta, and Skeletal Remains for the “United States Tour of Terror.” While the featured acts were between sets, a tornado ripped through the area and consequently, the venue.
