New Jersey’s volatile, experimentalist rock band Thursday will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its classic, groundbreaking album Full Collapse by kicking off a US tour with friends, Underoath, in January/February where the band will perform the celebrated record in its entirety.
The bass player with Jane’s Addiction has quit the band, and will reportedly be replaced by former Guns N’ Roses rocker Duff McKagan.

British rock band New Order, which arose from the ashes of post-punk band Joy Division in the early 1980s, has broken up, according to a Web posting by the group’s bass player. “I’m relieved really hated carryin on as normal with an awful secret so lets move on shall we?” Peter Hook wrote in a blog published on Wednesday on his MySpace page. The Police are set to reform at next month’s Grammy Awards, a number of internet news sites are reporting. The comeback, which is still unconfirmed, was initially reported by music site Side Line, and reveals the band plan to celebrate their 30 year anniversary with a big tour, reportedly “around 80 live dates”. After winning over U.S. hipsters with its critically acclaimed 2005 debut “Silent Alarm,” U.K. rock act Bloc Party is now aiming for mainstream success. Tripoli – An American rock band hoping to be the first Western group to play in Libya since Muammar Gaddafi came to power 35 years ago could not perform because of an administrative glitch, government officials said on Saturday. The Heavenly States, a little-known group based in Oakland, California, had arrived in Libya on Feb. 1 to play three concerts, including one in the Roman ruins of Leptis Magna.
