Following in her father’s footsteps, Kelly Osbourne will sing for the first time on stage during the MTV Movie Awards. The pink-haired, 17-year-old daughter of Ozzy Osbourne will perform her cover of Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach” during the awards show Saturday at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium. The show is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. EDT June 6, with Jack Black and Sarah Michelle Gellar as hosts. Major labels EMI Group and Warner Music Group separately unveiled new online systems Monday to streamline and improve the way their music is licensed. EMI Music Publishing has revamped its online rights clearinghouse, adding a new search-and-license feature that lets users browse a catalog of more than 500,000 EMI songs and get an immediate rate quote over the Web. The service does not include rights to EMI Recorded Music’s library of recordings, but EMI Music Publishing holds the rights from such hit songwriters as Rodney Jerkins, Carole King, Lenny Kravitz and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Ozzy’s daughter and reality TV’s most famous 17-year-old bar-hopper is filming a clip for her cover of Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach” in Los Angeles this week.
