Linkin Park’s “Meteora” maintains its No. 1 standing on the Billboard 200 for a second-straight week, despite a hefty 67% drop in U.S. sales. The band’s sophomore Warner Bros. album sold 265,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, bringing its two-week sales total above the 1 million mark. The No. 1 entry of “Meteora” on The Billboard 200 followed a similar opening on the U.K. album chart. Metallica, Blur, Linkin Park to Headline U.K. Fests


Metallica, Blur, and Linkin Park will headline the U.K.’s Reading and Leeds festivals this August. The events begin Aug. 22 with Leeds Festival headliner Metallica and Reading headliner Linkin Park. Linkin Park moves over to Leeds on Aug. 23, while Blur takes over headlining duties at Reading. The final day of the event will see Blur at Leeds and Metallica at Reading. Linkin Park's 'Meteora' Tops Album Chart


Linkin Park’s latest release has made a meteoric rise to the top of the album chart, debuting at the No. 1 spot. “Meteora” sold more than 810,000 copies during its first week in stores, according to industry figures released Wednesday. The rap-rock band’s first album, “Hybrid Theory,” was the top seller of 2001 with 4.8 million copies sold. Linkin Park Reward Fans With Free Concert Tickets


Thousands of Linkin Park Underground fan club members questioning whether they got their money’s worth from their $25 initiation fee are about to be silenced. The band will play 10 free shows in major cities across the country, and LPU members have first dibs on tickets, the band’s publicist said.
