Britney Spears will release her 3rd album, Britney on November 6 worldwide. The first single, “I’m A Slave 4 U,” will impact CHR and Rhythm Crossover radio on September 24. The song was written and produced by The Neptunes. The video, directed by Frances Lawrence, will debut on MTV’s Making The Video on September 24. Britney Spears co-wrote 5 of the 12 songs on the album. Other producers/writers on Britney include Max Martin, Justin Timberlake, Wade Robson, Rami and Rodney Jerkins. Britney Spears has titled her upcoming third album Britney. The album is due out November 6th with the first single, “I’m a Slave 4 U,” ready for radio at the end of the September. A preview of the single is available on Spears’ official site, www.britney.com. Irish Rockers U2 Return To America For Fall Tour


Irish rock band U2, which just finished a European tour, will return to North America in October for 15 arena dates, the group’s promoter said. The tour will begin on Oct. 10 at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and will conclude on Nov. 18 in Las Vegas, according to a statement issued on Monday by Clear Channel Entertainment, a unit of Clear Channel Worldwide. Aaliyah Album Sales Rise 41 Percent This Week


Album sales for R&B singer Aaliyah rose 41 percent last week, reflecting a surge of interest in the 22-year-old performer following her death in a plane crash this past weekend, statistics showed Wednesday. Music retail tracking firm SoundScan’s album charts for the week ended Aug. 26 showed sales of her latest album, “Aaliyah,” had grown to 62,000 copies, up from 44,000 units the week earlier. Singer Aaliyah's Body Flown To United States


The body of the late pop and soul singer Aaliyah was flown back to the United States Tuesday as safety experts examined the plane that crashed in the Bahamas, killing her and eight others. A private jet carrying the body of the 22-year-old singer and movie actress landed at Newark International Airport in New Jersey, and a hearse carried the casket away to an unknown location, according to sources.
