Snoop Dogg serves as the executive producer for the soundtrack for Bones, the horror film that stars the rapper as the evil villain Jimmy Bones. Snoop has enlisted OutKast, D12, Xzibit, Warren G, and Nate Dogg for the album, scheduled to be released October 9 on Priority Records. “Ballad Of Jimmy Bones,” sung by LaToiya Williams, is tentatively planned to be the record’s first single. Alice Cooper has been named the recipient of this year’s Living Legend Award from the International Horror Guild, marking the first time the Guild has reached beyond the literary world to give someone the honor. Previous winners have included authors Ray Bradbury, Harlan Ellison, and Clive Barker, among others. Ozzy Osbourne joined horror rocker Rob Zombie in a Los Angeles studio last week to work on “Iron Head,” a song to be included on Zombie’s upcoming album. Zombie’s sophomore solo release has been pushed back to October 30th, fittingly right before Halloween. In addition to Osbourne, the album will include guest appearances by Slayer guitarist Kerry King, former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Limp Bizkit ‘s DJ Lethal and Beastie Boys compatriot Mix Master Mike. The Backstreet Boys have postponed the next month of their Black & Blue world tour to allow the group’s A.J. McLean to get treatment for alcohol abuse, depression and anxiety. The other four members of the group told MTV News on Monday (July 9) that they will postpone all dates of their tour until an August 7 show in Vancouver, British Columbia.
