The Backstreet Boys have postponed the next month of their Black & Blue world tour to allow the group’s A.J. McLean to get treatment for alcohol abuse, depression and anxiety. The other four members of the group told MTV News on Monday (July 9) that they will postpone all dates of their tour until an August 7 show in Vancouver, British Columbia. With his debut feature film still in studio limbo, Rob Zombie is turning his attention back to music. The horror rocker has nearly completed the recording of his second solo album – and the follow-up to 1998’s triple-platinum Hellbilly Deluxe – and it’s scheduled to hit stores in September. The shockmeister is also planning a U.S. tour to follow in October and promises his “largest stage show ever,” according to a post on his Web site. Three years after the release of his last album of original material, B-movie rocker Rob Zombie is ready to come roaring back this fall with a brand new album and a U.S. tour. Zombie is nearly finished recording his second solo LP (or third, if you count his 1999 remix release, American Made Music to Strip By), according to his management. Joey Ramone, lead singer of legendary punk band the Ramones, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Sunday at the age of 49. The towering front man, born Jeffrey Hyman, did not respond to treatment for lymphatic cancer, a disease that attacks the body’s ability to fight infection. ‘NSync was the top musical act at the seventh annual Blockbuster Entertainment Awards Tuesday (April 10) night at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium, winning Favorite CD (No Strings Attached), Favorite Single (“Bye, Bye, Bye”), and Favorite Pop Group.
