Fans have long awaited Pope’s return to pop-punk after her band Hey Monday called it quits in December 2011 following the re-release of the group’s sophomore EP Candles earlier that year. Following their split, Pope had a storied career in country music after she took home a victory title for The Voice season 3 and even briefly reunited with Hey Monday in 2019 for a Nashville hometown show. As if Dolly Parton launching a 30-track rock album on November 17 wasn’t exciting enough, the artist recently released even more bonus tracks. Just one week out from the glorious return of Bamboozle Festival after a 10-year hiatus, the festival has announced its decision to cancel the May 5-7 event. This year’s 2023 fest would mark Bamboozle Festival’s 20th anniversary and had scheduled performances from some of the largest names across an array of genres. Today the festival deleted their twitter account, along with all posts on their Instagram. In regards to the cancellation, they quickly uploaded a statement to instagram.
