2014 is already shaping up to be an insane year for music, and some of our favorite bands are on their way to huge things this year. For our inaugural Tuesday Ten column, check out our list of ten bands you need to have your eyes and ears on in 2014.
Major League have announce that the band has parted ways with singer Nick Trask. The band has stated it was a mutual decision and guitarist/vocalist Brian Joyce will be moving into the lead vocalist position. The band will still be heading out on tour in a few weeks with Have Mercy, dates for which can be seen here. The 33rd annual CMJ Music Marathon will take place in New York City October 15th-19th. The event, which spans across 80 venues, aims to break new artists as well as feature established artists. In the past few years, Harrisburg, PA’s Koji has become just as well-known for his activism, unrelenting positivity, and the intimacy of his live shows as he has for his recorded music. He just arrived home from an extensive North American co-headliner with labelmates Turnover, and idobi editor Eleanor Grace caught up with him at one of the tour’s final dates to talk about how the past two months on the road have treated him, working with a full band, his thoughts on the scene, and how this tour has seen him reclaim his voice.
