Post-hardcore unit Rain City Drive (known formerly as SLAVES) has launched a reimagined rendition of their fan-favorite single “Blood Runs Cold.” The fresh take on the track will be featured on the group’s forthcoming deluxe edition of their self-titled alum, which is set to arrive via Thriller Records on June 23. Hardcore three-piece Drain have released their boisterous cover of the Descendents’ 1985 single “Good Good Things” via Epitaph Records. The classic punk-rock track which assisted in launching the Descendents into fame was featured on their sophomore album I Don’t Want to Grow Up. Drain’s rendition of “Good Good Things” captures a similar essence as the Descendents’ version, albeit with a more modern punk twist that showcases vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro’s melodic prowess. This week I have Kelly Green from hardcore band Fight The Future, she was also in one of my first national act bands called “The Teen Tragedies.” I joined the band when I was 15 and we started playing shows all over Utah and eventually toured the entire west coast and midwest in America. This was the band that started it all for me, hear our stories about how we met and how we both navigated our careers.
