At this year’s Riot Fest, a manifold of performers showed up and showed out at the Chicago-based punk festival. From Taylor Acorn and Death Cab For Cutie to Sleep Token and Death Grips, there was a fabulous set for every kind of alternative fan. Of course, the fest closed out with a 2.5-hour, career-spanning headline performance from The Cure on Sunday, September 17. blink-182 fans are basically celebrating a straight-up holiday today. After dropping teaser after teaser and hint after hint, the band has confirmed that they are, in fact, releasing a new album. The LP, aptly titled ONE MORE TIME…, is arriving on October 20, and the pre-orders for new vinyl and merch were announced shortly after. Basically, you need to hop on their website ASAP. Hailing from Ohio, Equipment is the brainchild of singer/songwriter and vocalist, Nick Zander. L.S. Dunes is a gift to alternative music, full of endless sonic surprises. Today, the quintet released their new single, “Old Wounds.” With haunting stillness, the band departs from the intensity of their 2022 LP Past Lives, taking a slower approach to the release without sacrificing any raw instrumentals. The Nashville-based punk rock label, Pure Noise Records has announced the second installment of their Dead Formats compilation albums. Dead Formats Vol. 2 will see many bands from the Pure Noise Records roster covering classic songs across the punk and rock genres. The album will drop on September 15th and holds an impressive fifteen tracks in total. So far, three tracks have dropped.
