Jewel Breaks Collarbone And Rib, Cancels Tour Dates


Pop singer Jewel broke her collarbone and a rib when she was thrown from a horse at her boyfriend’s ranch Wednesday. Jewel was staying with beau Ty Murray, a major figure in the professional rodeo circuit, at his ranch near Ft. Worth, Texas, enjoying a five-day reprieve from a promotional tour, according to an Atlantic Records spokesperson. She was taken to a medical center and was undergoing treatment for the fractures and bruising at press time. Eagles Confirm 31-Date Summer Tour


As first reported here last week, the Eagles will kick off their first North American tour in seven years May 31 in Reno, Nev. Veteran British electronic duo Pet Shop Boys has lined up a spring/summer world tour due to kick off May 14 in Miami.
