In a moment that has started to gain attention on TikTok, Y2K artist Middle Part posted a now semi-viral video on August 1, 2024, in which they allegedly overheard My Chemical Romance rehearsing their 2004 breakout single “I’m Not Okay (I Promise).” The track appears on the group’s album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, which celebrated its 20 year anniversary in June. Magnolia Park has launched a breakneck, EDM-fueled new single, “Oblivion Eyes.” The release, which the band has described as a “nu-metal/EDM crossover anthem” and marks the group’s first new music since August 2024, features phonk-rapper Ethan Ross who previously worked with the band on “Do Or Die” and “Animal” on Halloween Mixtape II, and producer/DJ Kayzo. The single kicks off with Joshua Roberts’ visceral, piercing scream, shouting the track title with raw intensity.
