Just a few months after their EP, If You Were A Stranger, Homes at Night has a brand new single for us. “Texaco” is dreamy and heartfelt. The duo perfects the art of storytelling, with “Texaco” being no exception. If you’ve ever felt the pain of being addicted to the wrong person, and trying to cut them off, you’ll connect to this song instantly. Hank Compton got personal saying, “I wrote this song from the perspective of an unhealthy relationship that emphasized my addiction, which is somewhat biographical. The production needed to sound like a release or detachment, hence the… Read more »

As Ice Nine Kills have kicked off their UK and European tour with Metallica, which will be followed up by the group’s own headline Wurst Vacation Tour, the scream team’s guitarist Dan Sugarman has made the difficult decision to step away from the band for the moment. Los Angeles-based alt-pop artist, THE BLSSM is back with their newest track “MERRY GO ROUND” out today. The song comes as the second single from their forthcoming EP INFINITY H(OURS) due out Friday, June 30th via Fueled By Ramen. The BLSSM calls the song “a theme song for a ‘Chaotic… Read more »
Say Anything are back together and have released a brand new track, “Psyche!” Today. They are a band that have always done things differently than everyone else. They stuck out like a sore thumb in the scene since their inception in a beautifully unique and transparently broken way. Max Bemis is a genius to say the least and you won’t find another project quite like his. Hell, their first full-length album, …Is A Real Boy, was intended to be a performative musical that transformed into a two-part melodic odyssey. With spoken word interludes, triumphant and drastic sonic changes within each… Read more »
Kelly Clarkson, the multi-talented singer, and host of The Kelly Clarkson Show, has performed a heart-wrenching rendition of Paramore’s 2009 single “The Only Exception.” Clarkson’s powerful performance on her morning segment, Kellyoke, offered a stripped-back cover of the hit single accompanied by Jaco Caraco’s delicate, acoustic strumming to create an intimate and captivating soundscape. Clarkson’s interpretation of the 2009 release demonstrated her ability to capture the essence of the song’s original format while adding her own unique twist. Her vulnerable delivery conveyed the song’s message of heartache and hope, much like Hayley Williams’ original vocal performance. Read more: Indie-Pop Band… Read more »
