Four Year Strong has officially dropped a pop-punk cover of Stone Temple Pilots‘ beloved track “Vasoline.” The cover is set to appear on Pabst Blue Ribbon and Pure Noise Records‘ compilation cover album, Dead Formats: Vol. 3. Ahead of their forthcoming tour with Bearings and Broadside, SoCal punks Stateside announced that they have officially signed with Pure Noise Records. Additionally, they made their grand label debut with single “Thirty Mile Stretch” and its accompanying music video. The band notes, “‘Thirty Mile Stretch’ is about reflecting on choices in the past that have led to great personal suffering, and how those cycles can be broken for the future.” With nostalgia-inducing visuals, feral pop-punk riffs, and a hopeful narrative, it’s fair to say that Stateside has a bright future ahead.
