Fall Out Boy Honors Sinéad O’Connor On Live Cover

Throughout their So Much For (Tour) Dust setlists, Fall Out Boy have incorporated a handful of cleverly crafted cover songs to inject the crowd with an extra dose of energy and enthusiasm. However, yesterday evening, July 26, the group’s frontman Patrick Stump took the opportunity to pay tribute to honor Sinéad O’Connor following the news of her passing earlier in the day. Across the tour’s 24 dates that have already passed, the four-piece unit has made Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” and Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” covers a staple of their setlists. KennyHoopla Drops “MARRY KILL F*CK//” Video Ft. Travis Barker

Following the release of KennyHoopla’s 3-track capsule project with frequent collaborator and friend, Travis Barker, the emerging artist has issued the official music video for the project’s standout single, “MARRY KILL F*CK//.” “MARRY KILL F*CK//” captures the very essence of KennyHoopla‘s unbridled energy and contagious punk-rock spirit. With clever references and innuendos scattered throughout, the song playfully nods to Barker’s bandmate Tom DeLonge with the line, “And everyone is recommending me their therapist/They believe in God/But don’t believe in aliens.” This song truly exemplifies KennyHoopla‘s uninhibited and electrifying musical style, making it a must-listen for fans of the genre. A Month Isn’t Enough

But if you’re a part of one or more of those communities, or if you’re a true ally, then every month is Pride, AAPI, Black History, and Women’s History. This writer chatted with Tegan and Sara a couple of weeks ago, and they were highlighting the importance… Read more »

Worriers Announce Fall Tour & Share Cathartic New Single

Punk-adjacent genius, Worriers have shared a brand new track “Top 5” today along with an announcement of a US tour this fall. The fresh indie rock track is drenched in cathartic turmoil. Somewhat of a somber track instrumentally, the lyrics prove emotionally exhausting. Exhausting in a way that feels like home, too familiar if you’ve struggled with depression or anxiety. The second single from their upcoming album Trust Your Gut out September 15th, the song pushes and pulls between anger and sadness. With lyrics like “Top 5 ways to try and stay sane / No routine is gonna keep you… Read more »

It was never a phase. However, which phase are we talking about exactly? Truth be told, the evolution of the emo style had many, many phases. We know we were never the jocks, the preps, or the bookworms. But we certainly had something going on, and it was developing alongside the bands we loved. Sometimes we were in all black, and surprisingly, sometimes, we were in pink and yellow. Beanies may have been really tiny, and other times very baggy and oversized.
