Indie-rockers HUNNY took over our playlists with the likes of “Homesick” and “Xbox Luvr,” and they’re doing it again with the new track “ring in ur ear” featuring none other than Motion City Soundtrack vocalist Justin Courtney Pierre. Transporting us back to cute yet horrendously awkward high school days, HUNNY performs in an unhinged talent show circa 2003. Painting a lyrical picture of young love, the band will give you all the nostalgic feels you need for a mid-week pick-me-up. Check out the brand-new music video below. Preceded by “big star,” “action → reaction,” “solo” and “89cc,” “ring in ur… Read more »

We all love a powerful frontwoman, and Against The Current’s Chrissy Costanza fits the bill. The band’s new single “silent stranger” introduces fans to their “nightmare era,” which is chock-full of black and white imagery and a dark-pop edge that elevates their classic sound. It’s all about shedding the persona they’ve created for themselves and the challenges of reclaiming their authentic identity. There comes a point when the reflection in the mirror looks like a complete stranger, which Costanza sings in the lyrics, “I know all the lies/I brought to life/Now I don’t know how to be someone real/Hate that… Read more »

L.S. Dunes is a gift to alternative music, full of endless sonic surprises. Today, the quintet released their new single, “Old Wounds.” With haunting stillness, the band departs from the intensity of their 2022 LP Past Lives, taking a slower approach to the release without sacrificing any raw instrumentals. Though, this is in staunch contrast to Dunes’ preceding 2023 single, “Benadryl Subreddit,” which begins with a screaming Anthony Green, and chock-full of “desert energy.” Talk about range.
