Talk on the street is that the Los Angeles-based band, Hot For Crime are about to explode as one of the new faces of modern rock-n-roll. Today they released their self-titled debut full-length album, Hot For Crime. The record features singles “Ya Need It“, “Good Bad Girl“, and “You Ain’t Mine“, which have collectively gained over two million streams already. Just one week out from the glorious return of Bamboozle Festival after a 10-year hiatus, the festival has announced its decision to cancel the May 5-7 event. This year’s 2023 fest would mark Bamboozle Festival’s 20th anniversary and had scheduled performances from some of the largest names across an array of genres. This week I have childhood friend Jake Margolis, he and I went to middle school and part of high school together in Utah and he too became a career drummer, at the age of 16 he joined band Madcap and went on the 2000 Warped Tour, and from there he’s played drums for such bands as: Tokyo Rose, Let Go, Time Again, Everclear, and much more, he’s now in punk band from Seattle The Drowns and we talk about what it was like growing up together in Utah and where life took Jake.
