Bowling For Soup Guitarist Chris Burney Announces Retirement

On January 22, Bowling For Soup shared a bittersweet message on social media platforms. Guitarist extraordinaire Chris Burney, 55, is permanently retiring from the band. The artist originally helped co-found the band in the ’90s. The punk-rock ensemble stated, “It is with a heavy heart we announce that Chris Burney has made the decision to retire from his stage-right post in the band he co-founded in 1994. Some recent medical developments, 30 years of rocking balls, and touring non-stop have made it difficult to continue. After cryptically teasing the recorded version of their unreleased single “Better Days,” Yellowcard has basically confirmed that a new record is coming. Boys Like Girls Launch “You’ll Be In My Heart” Disney Video

Coming off a massive fall tour and When We Were Young Fest stint, Boys Like Girls have issued the official music video for their Disney cover of “You’ll Be In My Heart.” The track dropped on September 6 alongside the Mouse House’s full compilation, A Whole New Sound. After announcing the return of the Vans Warped Tour last week in Las Vegas, NV, ahead of When We Were Young Fest, tickets for the 2025 events are now on sale!
