Fefe Dobson The Canadian pop-punk singer Fefe Dobson released her self-titled debut album in 2003, which spawned hits that included “Take Me Away,” “Bye Bye Boyfriend,” and “Everything.” She would follow that album with 2006’s Sunday Love and 2010’s Joy. Maggie Lindemann has just announced that her second EP, HEADSPLIT, will arrive out on March 8. Fans can begin pre-saving the record on Spotify and Apple Music here. Plus, listeners can pre-order the eight-track EP on iTunes and in her store on vinyl beginning today, as well. In classic Lindemann fashion, the artist draws inspiration from iconic horror films. In this case, the HEADSPLIT cover cheekily nods to the grotesque “Reverse Bear Trap” seen in the first Saw movie. Our fingers are crossed that the EP contains several scary movie Easter eggs. The upcoming release boasts three stunning features, including… Read more »

The band—Keaton Pierce, guitarist Mason Marble, drummer Kenneth Downey—wrote and performed the track, with Erik Ron contributing on bass. “Control” captures Keaton’s signature piercing vocal prowess layered against a backdrop of heavy-hitting instrumentation… Read more »
The twin duo Softcult has unleashed their latest offering, “Shortest Fuse.” Kicking off the track with “Yeah your boss forgot the payroll again/He’s such a capitalist/Don’t even know what we spent it on/Now you’re selling your guitar to pay rent,” the new release is a critique of capitalism societies and the hardships we’ve surely all experienced within recent years. The result is a crescendo of dreamy and guitar-laden instrumentation erupting through your speakers for… Read more »
If you ask us, The Home Team has a lot to “Brag’ about on their infectious new single, arriving via Thriller Records. Following the group’s heady success of their irresistible 2023 single “Loud,” “Brag” is a sugary-sweet, pop-infused, guitar-heavy earworm. From the catchy-as-hell introductory guitar chords to vocalist Brian Butcher’s enthralling delivery, we’re already clearing out space next to “Loud” for this track to live rent-free in our heads. The sheer addictiveness of the track’s pre-chorus, “I’m so sorry, I’ve been naughty/I’ve been keeping secrets/Something you’d know nothin’ about,” begs the question: who gave The Home Team the right to… Read more »

In 2015, Frank Zummo joined Sum 41. Since taking over on drums for the storied group, they’ve released two full-length albums and are gearing up to drop their final double album, Heaven :x: Hell, out March 29 via Rise Records. The ending of Sum 41 is a weird thought. Anyone who grew up on pop-punk knows the band’s legendary status, and their active presence will be missed, but I’m excited to see what the guys decide to pursue once their final tour wraps up later this year. Zummo has always been involved in a variety of cool projects that I’ve… Read more »
Green Day‘s music has always been rooted in politics. Take any of their singles as an example of this, especially when it comes to the likes of “Holiday” and “21 Guns,” which tackle the overall themes of war and American imperialism. In a recent Guardian interview, Green Day had the chance to expand upon the current political issues that are at the forefront of their minds and their music. With the release of their single “The American Dream Is Killing Me,” Billie Joe Armstrong sings, “The American Dream is killing me/When it’s all double-talk of conspiracy.” Conspiracy theories are actually… Read more »
