Is anyone else scratching their heads and wondering how 20 years went by so quickly? In the group’s official announcement to socials, they write, “To call this announcement surreal is a vast understatement. 2024 marks the anniversary of two decades since the gears in this machine officially began churning. In honor of your love and support after all this time, we invite… Read more »

GHØSTKID has announced a new album, Hollywood Suicide, and dropped the first single from the record, “FSU.” The new full-length comes out on March 22 via Century Media Records, ahead of their upcoming spring tour with Black Veil Brides, Creeper, and Dark Divine. The post-hardcore act embodies an edgy and (positively) offensive realness that hasn’t been in the scene for a bit. Dramatic make-up, masks at times, but overall, they appear like varieties of the undead, especially in the music video for the new single. All of which makes GHØSTKID stand out as new proverours in the genre. Vocalist Sebastian… Read more »

After celebrating their 2023 return EP Childhood Eyes with a Good Morning America performance of “The Places We’ll Go” alongside songstress Cassadee Pope earlier this week, Yellowcard is celebrating their legacy with a collaborative album with Hammock titled A Hopeful Sign. Marking the announcement of the collaborative release, which is set to arrive on February 9 via Equal Vision Records, Yellowcard has issued a freshly spun rendition of the group’s smash hit single, “Ocean Avenue.” In contrast to the energetic and fast-paced urgency of the original release, the collaborative version presents a more tranquil and dreamy ambiance brought to life… Read more »
Beloved Midwest emo duo, Remo Drive is back today to announce the release of their forthcoming full-length album, Mercy. Their fourth studio album will drop via Epitaph Records on February 23rd. In celebration of this exciting news, Remo Drive has given fans the title track, “Mercy” today along with a Western-inspired music video! The visual finds the band in full cowboy attire, performing amid a cornfield. The aesthetic choice to execute the video in black and white leans into the old-timey feeling of the song. “Mercy,” the single, follows two previous releases in anticipation of the album. “No, There’s No… Read more »
We start at the Supreme Court, where justices are deciding DJT’s 2024 ballot fate. Then, we’re shifting gears to the latest Boeing 737 Max debacle. With a side of the plane missing mid-flight, it’s a new take on ‘extra legroom.’ Plus, Starbucks’ new initiative to get customers to BYOC (Bring Your Own Cup). It’s part environmental crusade, part logistical puzzle. How will this play out in the drive-thru line? And, we’ll delve into the Biden administration’s proposed rule change for gig workers. From Uber to DoorDash, the employment landscape might be in for a seismic shift.
In 2015, Frank Zummo joined Sum 41. Since taking over on drums for the storied group, they’ve released two full-length albums and are gearing up to drop their final double album, Heaven :x: Hell, out March 29 via Rise Records. The ending of Sum 41 is a weird thought. Anyone who grew up on pop-punk knows the band’s legendary status, and their active presence will be missed, but I’m excited to see what the guys decide to pursue once their final tour wraps up later this year. Zummo has always been involved in a variety of cool projects that I’ve… Read more »
To say we’re excited about the highly-anticipated Alkaline Trio album, Blood, Hair, And Eyeballs, the group’s first full-length since 2018’s Is This Thing Cursed?, would be a massive understatement. The album has already given fans a taste of its brilliance and what to expect from the full collection through the titular track and their latest emotionally charged anthem, “Bad Time.” While we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new collection,… Read more »
Green Day‘s music has always been rooted in politics. Take any of their singles as an example of this, especially when it comes to the likes of “Holiday” and “21 Guns,” which tackle the overall themes of war and American imperialism. In a recent Guardian interview, Green Day had the chance to expand upon the current political issues that are at the forefront of their minds and their music. With the release of their single “The American Dream Is Killing Me,” Billie Joe Armstrong sings, “The American Dream is killing me/When it’s all double-talk of conspiracy.” Conspiracy theories are actually… Read more »
