Epitaph Records newest signing, Roe Kapara, has taken the scene by storm. You may recognize him from one of many viral videos featuring Kapara sitting stoic in front of a vintage television that is playing an old cartoon or classic movie. Usually with guitar in hand, he drones the soft melodies to the viewer with lyricism that is reminiscent of a perfect blend of The Front Bottoms, Microwave and Jeremy Zucker. With many popular songs like “Preacher“, “Everyone’s Dying (Grandma’s Drunk Again)“, and “Everything’s Fine (Nuke Song)” featured on the album, Kapara still finds away to make the other tracks… Read more »

This week I have long time friend singer/songwriter Scott Klopfenstein from The Littlest Man Band and Reel Big Fish, I first met him when I had just graduated high school and was on tour with him in 2002, I even got to play the song Take On Me with Reel Big Fish a few times that year. We recently got back in touch a couple years ago and we talk about how he got started, as well as how I recently filled in for his band on a week and a half run to Texas and back. It was a lot of fun, and so was this interview.
Kid Brunswick has a brand new song, “Heaven Without You” out today. This track comes as the second single on his upcoming EP The Fall Part 1 out later this year. In January he released “Blow“, giving fans a taste of what was to come and both songs are a genre-bending exploration of sound. Mixing driving rock themes with subtle hyper-pop references and a dash of aggressive screams, the young artist is creating a unique approach to alternative music. Along with the new song, he has dropped a grungy visual as well. You can check it out below. Brunswick has… Read more »
