Pop star Christina Aguilera has signed on as the international spokesperson for Skechers women’s footwear. Justin, Christina Postpone 2 More Shows


Two more dates on the Christina Aguilera/Justin Timberlake tour have been postponed in the wake of last Saturday’s lighting grid collapse in Atlantic City, N.J. Scheduled concerts for Wednesday in East Rutherford, N.J. and Thursday in Hartford, Conn. have been postponed, as was Monday’s show, originally set for Albany, N.Y. Six U.S. dates remain for the Justified and Stripped tour, scheduled to wrap Aug. 24 in Saint Paul, Minn. Good Charlotte to Tour


Having wrapped summer tours in the U.S. and Europe, Good Charlotte have lined up another twenty-three dates for this fall in continued support of their second album, 2002’s The Young and the Hopeless. The new itinerary starts September 18th in Madison, Wisconsin, and is currently scheduled to run through October 17th in Uniondale, New York, though additional dates will likely push the tour into November. Matchbox Twenty has announced the dates for their upcoming North American tour. The band wrapped up a 10-week tour in July and will hit the road for a North American tour starting September 24 in Tallahassee, Florida. Chiming in with the “Year of the Blues” theme, Jimi Hendrix’s record label is set to release two DVDs and one CD commemorating the American Folk Blues Festival, featuring performances in the early ’60s by folk and blues masters playing to European crowds. “The American Folk Blues Festival 1962-1966” (Experience Hendrix/Universal Music Enterprises) will be released in two DVD volumes Aug. 26, as will a compilation of 16 audio highlights on one CD. Dixie Chicks Likely Have Top-Grossing Country Tour Of Year


Ticket sales from the Dixie Chicks’ current Top Of The World tour are nearing the $60-million mark, setting the trio up to be the top-grossing country tour of the year. With 56 shows under their belt so far, the Dixie Chicks’ average attendance is upwards of 16,000 fans per show. Melisma/Atlantic rock group matchbox twenty is returning to the North American concert circuit this fall for a major cross-continental tour. Deftones Cancel Tour Dates: Chino Moreno Suffers Groin Injury


Deftones lead singer Chino Moreno has suffered what doctors are calling a “severe groin injury,” necessitating the cancellation of two of the band’s headlining off-dates on the current Summer Sanitarium tour with Metallica, Linkin Park and others. The canceled concerts are Tuesday, August 5th at the Salt Air Pavilion in Salt Lake City, Utah and Wednesday, August 6th at the Big Easy in Boise, Idaho.
