In honor of Hopeless Records turning 30, Scene Queen has covered “The Best Thing (That Never Happened)” by We Are The In Crowd for the label’s Hopelessly Devoted To You compilation album. The song originally appeared on We Are The In Crowd‘s 2014 LP Weird Kids. In honor of Hopeless Records turning 30 in 2023, Sweet Pill has covered “There, There” by The Wonder Years for the label’s Hopelessly Devoted To You compilation record. At the tail-end of last week, Waterparks announced via a lengthy statement posted to their platforms that they were “canceling the release” of INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 2: LOST IN THE PROPERTY. In the post, the trio shared that they would be “dropping one final track from the album titled GUILT,” which has officially arrived. Coinciding with the statement the band shared, which details vocalist Awsten Knight “constantly being in the headspace of re-approaching my issues with religion is very unhealthy and continues to take its toll on my mental wellbeing,” the track and accompanying short film opens through a voiceover introduction.… Read more »

On Friday, August 2, the official Waterparks Instagram account detailed that the band is canceling their album INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 2: LOST IN THE PROPERTY. However, the band is set to release one new track tomorrow, Saturday, August 3, “GUILT.” Their Instagram statement notes, “I no longer feel good about INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 2: LOST IN THE PROPERTY and will be canceling the release. After announcing her signing to Hopeless Records in April, Brazilian punk-rocker Karen Dió has arrived with her new single, “Stupid.” Preceded by “Sick Ride” and “So Funny,” “Stupid” is set to appear on her forthcoming EP My World, available on October 25, via Hopeless Records.
