Alleged Avril Stalker Picked Up By Cops


Police have arrested a man in Seattle for allegedly stalking Avril Lavigne. According to the Associated Press, 30-year-old James Speedy was taken into custody in the Seattle suburb of Lynnwood and was taken to Lynnwood County jail after police searched his home last Wednesday (April 7). Police in Lynnwood have been investigating the case since Canadian police informed them that harassing letters and emails were being sent to Lavigne last year. When news broke earlier this week that Avril Lavigne’s rhythm guitarist Jesse Colburn had been ousted from the band, Lavigne herself was caught a little off guard that the news caused such a commotion. Avril Lines Up Surprise Tour


Avril Lavigne will visit twenty-one malls nationwide to preview songs from her second album, Under My Skin. Starting tomorrow in Minneapolis, Lavigne and co-writer/guitarist Evan Taubenfeld will play sets that feature three songs from Skin – including the first single, “Don’t Tell Me” – along with material from her hit debut, Let Go. Avril Lavigne is getting personal on the follow-up to her 2002 multi-platinum debut, Let Go, which she’s been recording at the Malibu home of fellow Canadians Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida. Avril Lavigne’s “My World” DVD will premiere the day prior to its official Nov. 4 street date with screenings at AMC Theaters in 24 U.S. cities. Canadian singers Sarah McLachlan and Avril Lavigne will share a stage for the first time when women’s cable network Oxygen presents “Sarah McLachlan Custom Concert featuring Avril Lavigne.” The show, to take place Nov. 4 in New York, will be broadcast Nov. 9 by Oxygen at 9 p.m. ET.
