Canadian alt-rockers, The Beaches have dropped a brand new single today, “Blame Brett” and announced their forthcoming sophomore LP Blame My Ex due out September 15th. The new track is extremely cheeky to say the least. The Beaches give a new perspective to the break-up anthem by being equally parts funny, mournful, and scathing. They sing “So sorry in advance / Before you take off your pants / I wouldn’t let me meet your friends / I wouldn’t let me near your dad”. The annual Boston Calling festival will return for its ninth year at Harvard Athletic Complex this May. Spanning across three days, Boston Calling will be held Memorial Day weekend from May 26-28, and today, they have announced the set times for the upcoming three-day event. With anticipated headline performances from Foo Fighters (Friday, May 26), The Lumineers (Saturday, May 27), and Paramore (Sunday, May 28), there will be several major overlapping sets. Today, Hot Mulligan have released another new track from their upcoming album Why Would I Watch out May 12th via Wax Bodega. The new tune “Gans Media Retro Games” shows the band at their loudest and poppiest. This track follows the release of their song “Shhhh! Passion Pit’s Instagram now has two posts on it and it’s all we need to freak out a little. They posted earlier today that their 2021 album, Gossamer, is getting a revival for its 10th (actually 11th) anniversary.
