Although American Authors are receiving a lot of attention from pop culture, they’ve adopted none of the restrictions that come along with the limelight.

With a certain industry critic quipping recently that the album format is dead, the success of The Visual Album goes to show that the album format is only as alive as the artistic creativity and expression that it possesses from front-to-back, and that that such creativity and talent is still rewarded in the music industry.
Hawthorne Heights have signed with the Sony / RED distributed Red River Entertainment and are currently recording their new LP with producer Brian Virtue (30 Seconds To Mars, Chevelle, Audioslave), which will be released this summer.

idobi’s Jamie McGrath sat down with the The Wonder Years at Starland Ballroom Saturday evening during their “Ship of Fools†tour with Streetlight Manifesto.
Kanye West might not be able to tell you the complete background of one of his newer artists, Big Sean, but he can see his guy’s future. Sean may be the next mainstream hip-hop star coming out of Detroit. “He put out mixtapes… His story for me was I heard him rap, he killed it and he got signed,” West said.
