Ashton Irwin, aka the drummer and vocalist from 5 Seconds Of Summer, is continuing his solo music journey. Earlier this week, the artist announced his forthcoming album BLOOD ON THE DRUMS. This marks his second LP, preceded by 2020’s Superbloom. Additionally, he kicked off the new album cycle on June 4 with the release of single “Straight To Your Heart.” The indie-pop bop is the love song that came just in time for your summer beach playlists.
Overwhelmed by the love, Irwin shared on Instagram, “Insanely happy seeing you react to Straight To Your Heart! Flying high off all the love today and all of this week.”
Irwin‘s upcoming LP consists of two parts: Side A – The Thorns and Side B – The Roses. The first side is due out on July 12, while the full BLOOD ON THE DRUMS record is set to arrive on July 17. You can secure your pre-order for vinyl and merchandise here.
