Motherland: Fort Salem is back to sweep you away with its powerful magic work in Season 2. Which means it’s time for us to chat with the stars again! First, Sherin and Alex get you hyped for the new season, diving into where our witches are now before going behind the screen to talk about the writing and the effects and how it all comes together.
Sherin is then joined by Taylor Hickson, Jessica Sutton, and Ashley Nicole Williams who share what their respective characters are up against in S2 as well as their connections to each other and their storylines. As Jessica says, the Bellweather Unit are “strangers to sisters, witches to warriors” and you’ll believe every word as the three stars giggle together on and and off screen. They close out with some tantalizing teasers of the scenes they can’t wait for you to experience.
What’s Behind the Screen: Eliot Laurence
Next up Sherin sits down with Eliot Laurence, Motherland’s creator, showrunner, and head writer to dig into his vision for the show. He gives us some more insight into the Cession and how this alternate history works outside of the military. He also discusses why it’s so important to tell the stories he does and where that inspiration comes from, before signing off with a teaser for S2 that’ll get you hooked and ready for more. Catch Motherland: Fort Salem on Tuesdays on Freeform!
