Lani Sarem, the author of Handbook For Mortals, joins us to talk about 2017’s biggest literary scandal. Lani’s first book (prior to being an author, Lani managed bands such as Blues Traveler & The Plain White T’s) garned major media attention when she was accused of buying her way to the #1 spot on the New York Times Best Seller List in August 2017.
Handbook For Mortals graced the top spot of the New York Times Young Adult Best Seller list for only 23 hours before being removed. Afterwards Lani was met with backlash. She will be giving her side of the story when she comes on BLACKOUT!
