It’s no secret that Bayside’s hometown shows are beyond crazy. This past Saturday night, the band played at the Music Hall of Williamsburg for one of two Brooklyn shows. The two acts they brought out to support them on this tour were fellow Brooklyn natives I Am The Avalanche and Canadian pop punk quintet Seaway. The tour package as a whole introduces a dynamic that has varying sounds yet together in one show, producing a fantastic outcome. Bayside played a collection of songs that ranged across their entire discography, including songs from their latest release Cult. Each and every song brought the energy in the room to a new level, to a point where it seemed as though the crowd was only consisting of crowd surfers and stage divers. Bayside never fails to deliver a spectacular performance, and the addition of I Am The Avalanche, as well as Seaway, surely added to this brilliant show. (Audrey Lew)
