Well, last year we bid a sad and final farewell to Molson Park in Barrie, a favourite summer concert/festival venue in Ontario for the past 20 years and the host of many past Edgefests. A woman accusing Roc-A-Fella CEO Damon Dash of sexual assault filed a $15 million lawsuit Tuesday in New York’s State Supreme Court seeking damages. Kirstie Thompson alleges that Dash forced himself on her in the early hours of January 1, 2003, after a New Year’s Eve party in Brazil. Rick Van Santen, a co-president of Goldenvoice, a Los Angeles concert promotion company that ushered punk rock from the fringes of the music scene to a wide audience, died last Sunday at his home in Ventura County of flu-related complications, his Goldenvoice partner Paul Tollett said.
