Springsteen Will Head to Atlantic City for Show


Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform March 7 at Boardwalk Hall, the Convention & Visitors Authority and Clear Channel Entertainment announced this week. “We’re very excited to bring Bruce Springsteen here,” Mark Juliano, the authority’s chairman, told The Press of Atlantic City for Thursday’s editions. “This is the first time he’ll be playing Atlantic City, and it’s very exciting to see New Jersey’s greatest artist come to its most historic venue. Tickets are $75. They’ll go on sale Saturday.

Silverchair has completed work on their eagerly anticipated label debut. The album – titled “DIORAMA” – is currently slated to be released in North America on July 9th. Atlantic Records names co-presidents


Atlantic Records has named longtime label executives Craig Kallman and Ron Shapiro as the first co-presidents of the Warner Music Group imprint, filling a post that has been vacant since co-chairman and CEO Val Azzoli Azzoli held it six years ago. Both execs will report to Azzoli, who shares his own post with venerable label co-founder Ahmet Ertegun. Maverick, Atlantic Records cut jobs


Maverick Records and Atlantic Records, two labels owned by AOL Time Warner Inc., said Monday they have cut more than 30 jobs combined over the past week. A spokesman for Warner Music said there had been 16 job cuts at Maverick Records over the last week, while Atlantic has also cut about 15 jobs.
