Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have reportedly named their newborn twins Max and Emme. Lopez’ manager, Simon Fields, confirmed the babies’ names to People magazine on Friday. The twins were born at a Long Island hospital on Feb. 22, with 5-pound, 7-ounce Emme arriving about 15 minutes before her 6-pound brother. The hospital’s name was not disclosed. Fields said then that Lopez, a first-time mother at 39, was “thrilled” at the babies’ arrival. The 38-year-old Anthony has three other children. The Latin music power couple married in 2004. The Federal Communications Commission said on Friday that Clear Channel Communications Inc. should pay the maximum penalty of nearly $250,000 for airing a sexually explicit radio broadcast. Clear Channel, the nation’s largest radio-station owner, should pay $247,500 – the maximum indecency fine allowable by law – for an episode of “Elliot in the Morning” that aired on stations in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Delaware, the FCC said. In an historic decision handed down by a federal jury in Pittsburgh, PA, SESAC has been awarded more than $1.2 million in damages, including the maximum damages on 6 songs, in a copyright infringement litigation. The verdict was returned against WPNT, Inc., the operator of radio stations WLTJ-FM and WRRK-FM in Pittsburgh, and its president, Saul Frischling. In their complaint, SESAC and 15 affiliated music publishers alleged that on numerous occasions WPNT’s stations performed the music of SESAC-affiliated songwriters without authorization. *NSYNC’s Imax concert film, *NSYNC: Bigger Than Live, will make its network television debut on the WB Network at 8 p.m. ET on April 25. The concert footage in the one-hour special was shot during the group’s tour in support of its 2000 album, No Strings Attached. The special features the group’s most popular songs, including “Tearing Up My Heart,” “Bye Bye Bye,” “It’s Gonna Be Me,” and “This I Promise You,” among others. Max Siegel has been named to the role of president of Verity Records as well as vice president of Zomba Music Group, USA. Siegel will be charged with running the operations of Verity Records and will seek strategic opportunities for the rest of Zomba’s network of music companies. The announcement was made last week by Barry Weiss, president of Jive Records and Tom Carrabba, Jive’s senior vice president and general manager. Columbia Recording artist Maxwell’s eagerly-awaited third full-length album, Now, is debuting at the #1 slot on the Billboard Top 200 Album Sales chart with first week’s sales of more than 296,000 units, according to SoundScan.
