Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. As a scene, we have always been more inclined to be open about mental health, and more understanding towards those who are depressed, anxious, or suffer from any and all mental health issues. It is important that we take the opportunity today to share this outlook with the rest of the world.
Lately there has been a lot of light being shed upon the issue of mental health, and people in the music industry. Especially on the subject of depression and anxiety. Being someone who is affected by both, I wanted an opportunity to talk about my personal experiences, and the extreme ups and downs that come with traveling, and playing music, and thanks to idobi Radio, I have a place to put my thoughts for at least the next two weeks.
I’m glad this movie exists; more movies need to be made addressing mental health issues—even if they’re comedies.

The two artists reimagined “Leave a Light On (Talk Away The Dark),” originally from Papa Roach’s 2022 record Ego Trip. While the song touches on themes of reaching out, it also serves as an awareness campaign for suicide prevention.
