Following the release of “Spells And Power Thoughts,” “My Own Hell,” “Red Is My Favorite Color,” and “Eternally (undeath),” JULES IS DEAD has a new ethereal pop-punk banger—”Just 1 Thing” featuring Ezra to end your summer in style.

“This song was created during my first recording session in LA with TAG and Atlantic Records. It represents a key moment when my dreams started to become real, which you can hear in the lyrics,” the artist shares.

JULES IS DEAD continues, “The song talks about my struggles with ruining friendships and relationships because of past issues, and how I’m trying to rebuild trust and move on. Working with Ezra, an artist I really look up to, seemed like the right step. We both work with TAG and first met online. Feeling inspired, I reached out to Gabe Saporta, the head of TAG Music, to suggest working with Ezra. This song gave us a great opportunity to collaborate.”

Additionally, JULES IS DEAD notes, “Songs can be really empowering and you can write about a lot of things that are hard to put into words in a conversation with someone. I get to use my music as an outlet for everything I have going on, whether that’s like stress, mental health my friendships. I channel all of that into my songs. It’s a good way to get out all my negative emotions in a healthy manner.”

Then, they continue, “I think it’s important to be in the space I’m in. Because there are other young girls of colour who want to be in the space and I want to be able to have a space where they feel comfortable, and feel like they contribute.”

Coming up in the summer and fall, JULES IS DEAD will be performing their new tracks at various venues. Check out their upcoming shows below.
