Limp Bizkit San Francisco Area Guitar Search Postponed


The San Francisco-area date of Limp Bizkit’s “Put Your Guitar Where Your Mouth Is” guitarist search set for Friday (January 11) was cancelled due to problems obtaining the proper permits, according to the band’s website. The event was to take place just outside the city at the Guitar Center in Concord, California, but things weren’t exactly in order, store manager Frank Gutwein revealed. “I don’t want to address the reasons why, but it was cancelled due to uncontrollable circumstances. Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor may be considering producing some songs for the next album by Limp Bizkit. According to an interview in the German magazine Visions, Bizkit’s Fred Durst contacted Trent Reznor’s management to ask if he would be open to producing a few tracks. Neither a spokesperson for Reznor nor a spokesperson for Durst were available to confirm the report at press time. Limp Bizkit At Center Of Investigation Into Australian Fan's Death


An Australian court is investigating the role that Limp Bizkit’s onstage actions may have played in the death of a 15-year-old fan who was crushed at the multi-band Big Day Out festival in January. An inquest by Sydney’s Glebe Coroner’s Court that began November 19 is attempting to determine the factors that contributed to Jessica Michalik’s death, and is examining statements made by Fred Durst when it became apparent that Michalik was in distress, according to Deputy Coroner Matt Fordham.
