Eminem Disses Limp Bizkit Members On D12 Album

The Eminem/Everlast feud has expanded to include Eminem’s one-time friends Fred Durst and DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit. Eminem has some choice and predictably profane words for the pair on “Girls,” a track from the group D12’s forthcoming Devil’s Night. Eminem is apparently upset about a comment Lethal made in December during the Limp guys’ visit to “TRL.” Lethal, who was in House of Pain with Everlast but was also friends with Eminem, at first said of their beef, “They’re both men, they’ll work it out.” But he added that if the two were to take their differences outside the… Read more »

Limp Bizkit's Borland Gets Dumb With Side Project

Donning scary makeup isn’t the only hobby of Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland, as the six-stringer is readying a full-length release from his side project, Big Dumb Face. Scheduled for a March 6 release, Duke Lion Fights the Terror!! features Borland – under the pseudonym “The Tongue of Colicab” – performing almost all of the music and vocals on the 12-song album, with a little help from his friends. A full band consisting of Borland and bassist/brother Scott (performing as “The Cardboard Urinal”), and a drummer and second guitarist (“Joe Couch” and “The Three Headed Demetrian Pup,” respectively) is being… Read more »

Vacancies In Metallica, Bizkit So Far Filled Only With Jokes

We know Metallica and Limp Bizkit will headline the Summer Sanitarium Tour, but what we don’t know is who will be in those bands. Or do we? “We got Yngwie Malmsteen,” Fred Durst deadpanned Wednesday at a press conference to announce the tour, which also features Linkin Park, the Deftones and Mudvayne. “Oh man, he was next on my list,” Lars Ulrich said of the Swedish metal guitar virtuoso. “I’ll take Steve Vai and give you him,” Durst shot back. Of course, Durst and Ulrich were joking. Metallica’s bassist slot and Limp Bizkit’s guitarist slot remain vacant. The latter band… Read more »

More Ramones, Less Bizkit In Quarashi's Icelandic Rap-Rock

For those who think rap-rock is just about tapped out, Quarashi would like to present their spin on the genre. “We’re trying to do rap music the way Joey Ramone would have done rap music,” said Sölvi Blondal, the band’s producer and drummer. “What we are trying to do is punk-rock rap music, but a little bit more 1990s, like when Public Enemy was doing Fear of a Black Planet and when Cypress [Hill] was coming up with their first album. We tried to approach that style…. We didn’t want to be like Limp Bizkit or these bands that are… Read more »

WWF And Hard Rock Go Together Like Bizkits, Gravy

Those WWF Smackdown spots just wouldn’t be the same without P.O.D.’s “Alive,” Creed’s “My Sacrifice” and Kid Rock’s “Cocky” blaring in the background. In many cases, shots of wrestlers powerbombing, chokeslamming and clotheslining one another are more captivating than the images in real rock videos. Let’s face it, loud rock and wrestling go together like salted bacon and farm-fresh eggs, the aggressive tones and violent visuals feeding off each other, creating a charged symbiosis of pumping testosterone. With over-the-top sound and sight, all you need is a sweat-and-blood-soaked rag under your nose to create the ultimate sensory experience. “Wrestling and… Read more »

With Wes Borland’s job in Limp Bizkit vacant, the band is already setting up “interview” sessions for a new guitarist. Timbaland, P. Diddy, Neptunes Do It Their Way On Bizkit Remix LP

As Fred Durst says, the title tells it all: New Old Songs. The Neptunes do it all for the nookie, Timbaland tries a mission impossible and P. Diddy shows his way on Limp Bizkit’s upcoming remix album, due in December. Also among the hitmakers who are contributing versions of Bizkit’s songs are DJ Premier and William Orbit – in addition to Limp’s own DJ Lethal, guitarist Wes Borland and Durst. “The remixes are like brand new songs,” Durst said Thursday. “We’re writing our new record, so this is something you can put in your stereos and bump to.” E-40 and… Read more »
